A new version of the National Scenic Byways website, formatted for mobile devices, has been developed in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration.
Mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular for accessing web content while on the go. This makes them a perfect fit for travelers who visit roads designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation as All-American Roads and National Scenic Byways.
To accommodate the size and features of mobile devices, developers at MDSC determined which parts of our vast store of scenic byway information would be best displayed in a new format. We also strove to make use of location-based tools available in many devices, such as GPS receivers. The result is a simple and usable site that helps visitors find scenic byway activities at any given location.
